| Intalling Walls into The Sims 1 |
- Click on the "DOWNLOAD" button.
- You should be asked if you'd like to save or open your file. Save
it to a location on your computer that you will remember like the "My
Documents" folder or on your "Desktop." We recommend that you make a
special folder on your computer to keep all of the .zip files you download
from WDS and other sites. For example, you may have a folder on your
desktop called "WDS" where you keep WDS files and a folder
on your desktop called "SimNonesuch" where you keep SimNonesuch
files.
- Find the .zip file you've downloaded and decompress ALL the files
to:
C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\GameData\Walls
Decompressing .zip files is a built in function of Windows ME and above
and can be accessed by right-clicking on the .zip file and selecting
"Extract All..." If you don't have this built in you may need
to use a free decompression tool like Filzip
or WinZip.
You may not have items inside folders within the \Walls folder.
- Completely exit and restart your game and your walls will be accessible
from Build Mode.
