| Intalling Heads into The Sims 2 |
- Click on the "DOWNLOAD" button. If you are asked for your Platinum
username and password, enter it. If you don't have a Platinum subscription
you will need to subscribe by going here to have access
to the download you're requesting.
- You should be asked if you'd like to save or open your file. Save
it to a location on your computer that you will remember like the "My
Documents" folder or on your "Desktop." We recommend that you make a
special folder on your computer to keep all of the .zip files you download
from WDS and other sites. For example, you may have a folder on your
desktop called "WDS" where you keep WDS files and a folder
on your desktop called "SimNonesuch" where you keep SimNonesuch
files.
- Find the .zip file you've downloaded and decompress the file
to a folder that you can find.
Decompressing .zip files is a built in function of Windows ME and above
and can be accessed by right-clicking on the .zip file and selecting
"Extract All..." If you don't have this built in you may need
to use a free decompression tool like Filzip
or WinZip.
- You should now have a file that ends with ".sims2skin" or ".sims2pack" (if not, see step 5). Simply double-click on this file and it will be installed for you.
- If the files end with ".package" copy them into the following folder:
My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
- Your head and/or it's components will now be available for you in your game.
- Make sure your game options are set to accept custom content. The
information is in the FAQ.
